Surgical Face Masks Shop Pandemic Emergency Defense System (PEDS) integrates essential influenza response equipment into a cohesive unit. More than just a supply kit, PEDS is a proactive and realistic approach to pandemic preparedness. Enables procurement, distribution, and compliance in a single, boxed solution.
This system was designed around Pandemic Influenza infection control guidelines from The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
We have years of experience supplying infectious disease-related products to healthcare facilities. The items we provide may be used to save lives, and we take this very seriously.
Simply put-our unyielding dedication to quality and product knowledge, along with a strong sense of customer responsibility is what makes Surgical Face Masks Shop different.
The National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) prohibits the marketing of N95 respirators (masks) to children. The respirator offered on this site fits a tremendous range of adult faces and is considered a one-size-fits-most.
Please take into account these two factors when deciding how many respirators you need.
Disposable N95 respirators (masks) cannot be effectively cleaned or disinfected; therefore masks must be discarded after each use. This includes taking it off to eat or drink. Reuse may compromise the integrity of the mask and potentially expose the user to pathogens in the filter material.
The other factor to take into consideration is that supplies will likely be limited in the event of heightened pandemic activity. Surgical Face Masks Shop does not guarantee that our products will be available when you need them most.
There is no time rating given by NIOSH, the regulating government body for N95 respirators. Note respirators must be discarded immediately after usage. This includes taking it off to eat or drink. Reuse may compromise the integrity of the mask and potentially expose the user to pathogens in the filter material.
OSHA regulation 1910.134 states that fit testing of respirators (masks) is required prior to use in order to determine if proper fit is attainable. Individual facial features, including facial hair, may prevent proper fit. Qualitative Bitrex™ Respirator Fit Test Kits for OSHA compliance are made available on our product menu. Comprehensive step-by-step instructions are included. Each test kit is good for approximately 50 individual tests. Usually requires 1-2 tests per person.
Though Surgical Face Masks Shop specially designed its system in response to the risk of a pandemic flu, our products are generally used as protection against pathogens commonly associated with many diseases. Therefore, Surgical Face Masks Shop products help prepare for the spread of many airborne pathogens, including Anthrax, SARS, and Tuberculosis.
We encourage everyone to regularly visit these sites for up-to-the-minute, reputable information.
